Mark arrived 7:10 here in Ubon via Thai Airways (he missed his flight up last night due to a missed connection. (Not enough time for baggage claim, immigration, and rechecking baggage.)) We went back to the my place and had breakfast (Sticky rice patties, sticky rice with deep fried pork sausage, and noodles). Mark then worked on reassembling his bike. I finished packing. We got on the road around 10:00. While we were biking Mark took a lot of pictures on the fly. Im’ interested to see how they turn out.
In the late morning we stopped at a smoothy stand in the middle of nowhere. The proprietor was very friendly and spoke impressively good English for a lady who blends fruit in the middle of nowhere and sells it for 50¢ a glass. While there we also bought some lotus seeds to snack on. We arrived at our hotel here in Sisaket around 16:00. We had dinner, took quick showers, and went out for a walk. We snacked on some Japanese Crepes and checked our email, before heading back for an early bedtime (19:00).
