Hydroelectric

Some of my students entered a competition among several English Program schools. I was their adviser. It was hard for me to limit myself to the role of adviser. I often wanted to promote myself to project leader/dictator.

Holding myself back to the adviser role I believe allowed my students to learn more. It did mean my students did not integrate the components of their assembly as much as I would have liked, though they did succeed in generating power with their machine.

I had hoped to go with them to the competition, but was prevented from doing so by illness. They got second place! (Incidentally they also received a gold medal. The reception of medals was based on points scored rather than ranking among schools).

  1. Great job Micah.

With your engineering background this type project was right in your wheel house.

  2. You tell your students I said, (not in Thai of course, but…) Way to Go!!!
It crossed my befuddled mind that these young people will be the movers and shakers among the Thai people in the years to come…correct? are most of these students college and beyond bound? Food for thought and for prayer…
keep it up Micah, this all counts for the Kingdom in ways we may not even see at all, (especially The Befuddled One)
